Vino Mercato

I developed my passion for wine and Italian foods while I worked in Italy in the 80’s and 90’s.  The Italian culture is based around meals, family and friends.  It is not un-usual for Italians to spend many hours having dinner and drinking wine with friends and family.

Vino Mercato is an neighborhood Italian Marketplace and Wine Cellar, which is unique to central Oregon.  Though we specialize in Italian flair,  we have products from Europe, USA and a special section for local Oregon artisan food makers.  Our concept is to have a comfortable place where people can meet to taste great foods and wine.

Each evening, the flight of wines being tasted will have a theme.  One evening Chianti’s, the next Pinot Noir’s from Oregon, and the next evening Best Chardonnay under $15.  We believe that having a central tasting theme promotes conversation, and that a comfortable atmosphere and experience is more than the décor, but the camaraderie developed between fellow customers and the staff.

Our lunch menu will consist of Italian sandwiches and salads a long with our appetizers.   The evening appetizer menu will compliment the wines being served.   Fresh breads, specialty cheese, olive bar, antipasto plates and other specials, which utilize the unique flavors of the wonderful Italian products that we specialize in.
